About

headshot.jpgI began to practice yoga to "learn to breathe" after a fire destroyed my home in 2006 and have been in love ever since.  I contribute my training as a competitive gymnast in my early years and year round athleticism thereafter to my immediate physical attraction to yoga but quickly recognized the significance of the connection of breath to mind, body and spirit. My classes are challenging, creative and inspiring (and always have a good playlist!)

As a yoga teacher and health coach, I'm committed to helping people become the best version of themselves possible. In 2010, I created the Local for Global Project and raised $20,000 in 2010 for HIV/AIDS programs in South Africa as part of Off the Mat, Into the World's Seva Challenge. I am deeply committed to connecting with and engaging in communities on both a local and global level. I have continued to work with OTM, recently completing two leadership trainings with co-founders Seane Corn, Hala Khouri and Suzanne Sterling.

In addition, I am also a luluemon athletica Ambassador and co-founder of The Art of Letting Go: A Maya Tulum Yoga Vacation. I also currently write recipes for Philadelphia Magazine's Be Well Philly blog.

On a more personal note, I have three sisters and six nieces that I adore. I love being outside, trying new restaurants and cooking, going to the movies by myself and traveling, traveling, traveling!
