what to expect from offerings ⤵

community chit chats

A time for us to gather as community and talk about different aspects of yoga philosophy, spirituality, issues of the day, books that expand our hearts & minds or topics that challenge us. Space will open with a lecture, move into Q&A and then into open dialogue where we can share, listen and learn from one another.  These are richer experiences when many opinions are heard so know you are encouraged to share YOUR voice. Chats will be held in Zoom room so we have the opportunity to see one another, as well. 

meditation

A practice for every body. Everyone benefits! Meditation practice can be done seated on the floor, cross-legged or sitting on the heels. You can also use the wall for support, sit in a chair, or lay down if that's best for your body. If keeping your eyes open is more comfortable for you, go for it!


Practices are guided and may utilize visualizations, mantra, counting, mudras, the breath or a variety of techniques to bring into a state of balance and harmony. You can't do it wrong so give it try! 

recipes & cookalongs

One of my favorite things to do for people is to cook for them! Whether it's for a get together or as an offering of gratitude, it's definitely my love language. And nothing too fancy - easy, relatively quick, delish and good for you! I'm so excited to share this part of my life with you. Recipes, tutorials and Zoom-style cookalongs. Mangia mangia!

Kind of like a restaurant serving up what's in season - special classes to celebrate holidays, build culture, tap into modern rituals or different lifestyle practices.  Or, even better, a SPECIAL GUEST TEACHER!

unwinds

Practices that help your nervous system decompress and lower the impact of stress or help you learn how to REST and tap into creative space. And that feel sweet in your body!  You get the gist! Think restorative practices, rolling on a ball to open your hips, yoga nidra etc. 

vinyasa

A dynamic, fluid class that incorporates movement and meditation, strength and flexibility, structure and creativity. No two classes are alike. Movement and breath are connected in a rhythmic way and class is sequenced both intelligently and creatively, increasing respiration and circulation while also both stimulating and regulating the nervous system.  A good vinyasa practice is a balance of active and passive poses, leaving you invigorated and grounded, often building intensity and depth along the way. 


Props can often be used to make poses more accessible - the ability to get more space in the body and breath in the lungs. It's a good idea to have blocks, a strap and a blanket on hand if you have them!

yin

Designed to stress the connective tissues of the body within their natural range of motion, over an extended period of time, to create openness and health in the ligaments, tendons, and fascia. Yin yoga also works to train the quality of the mind’s concentration and harmonize the flow of prana (energy) in the body. Appropriate for everyone.  A great compliment to a more vigorous practice. Great for all levels of students, even beginners. 


This style of yoga is passive - poses are typically held for 3-5 minutes, on the ground, often with the support of props. Time and gravity work to bring you deeper into the experience, not physical effort. Yin yoga is a great practice for beginners and a great complement to the busyness of our lives and other activities. Variations are offered for all bodies.


For each practice, it's a good idea to have props on hand: 2 blocks, a blanket, bolster or pillow and a strap.
